LESKUR
Tjøme Secondary School has located 2 km from Lindhøy where INCUBE has designed a kindergarten. The school needed a shelter for outdoor breaks and activities. As Tjøme has a lot of wind and rainfall, the location and design will create good protection for the climate while giving the experience of being outside with plenty of daylight.
Because we wanted to provide a sculptural form to the school area and avoid splitting the outdoor space, the idea of a round shaped building emerged. Construction and cladding are in the wood. All pieces of wood are straight, but because they are oriented diagonally and raised from the circular foundation, a double-curved wall occurs.
